How do I return an item?

General note - As MAYA'S CLOSET works with designers who take pride in hand crafting all their clothing, accessories, handbags…there might be minor differences between the photo of item and finished product. However these will not affect your overall enjoyment and appreciation for the product.

Such minor differences in the purchased products do not apply or fall under 'faulty goods' eligible for exchange or return.


UAE Customers

Do you want to return something? No problem!
  • You can return any item within 10 days of receipt for a refund, or you can exchange it for a different size or colour (depending on availability). Just note down the details of your replacement on the returns form that came with your order.
  • We will refund the price you purchased your item at upon receipt of goods and inspection of the condition of the returned item(s) and if it/they match Maya's Closet returns criteria (please note clause *). This DOES NOT include sale items.
  • All goods will be inspected on return.
  • The goods are your responsibility until they reach our warehouse, so make sure it/they are packed up properly and can’t get damaged on the way! Any damage due to poor packaging will be at the senders responsibility and will deem refunds void.
  • We are not responsible for any items that are returned to us by mistake.
  • Returns are free for UAE customers.
  • We recommend you obtain proof of postage, in case the package needs to be tracked due to late arrival or no arrival. This will be your (customer's) responsibility to ensure you have proof of sending the parcel to Maya's Closet.   • *All items returned must be in their original condition, including tags and any packaging they arrived in e.g. shoes must be returned with the original shoe box, accessories in the original accessory pouch or box, etc.
  • The items need to be in the same condition as per the digital images taken on packing them before despatch, not worn, used, washed, dry cleaned or tampered with in any way.


International Customers (UK, France, GCC, Lebanon, Jordan, USA, Canada)

Do you want to return something? No problem!
  • You can return any item within 21 days of receipt for a refund.
  • If you want it replaced for a different size or colour, or you want a different item (depending on availability), you will need to place a new order.
  • We will refund the price you purchased your item at upon receipt of goods and inspection of the condition of the returned item(s) and if it/they match Maya's Closet returns criteria (please note clause *). This DOES NOT include sale items.
  • Registered postal or return courier charges are at customers’ expense.
  • * For all returns, the items returned must be in their original condition, including tags and any packaging they arrived in e.g. shoes must be returned with the original shoe box, accessories in the original accessory pouch or box, etc.
  • All goods will be inspected on return.

This will be your responsibility to ensure you have proof of sending the parcel to Maya's Closet.

FAULTY GOODS

Goods are classified as faulty if they are received damaged – please note as part of the packing procedure at MAYA'S CLOSET, we take digital photos of each item packed before sealing the parcel to ensure it’s in perfect condition on packing and dispatch. Please note that items that are damaged as a result of wear and tear are not considered to be faulty.

Also, care instructions much be followed at all times and each item purchased looked after with care and love. They are all hand-made items that need handling with care. For all faulty items outside of our Returns Policy, please contact customercare@mayas-closet.com.
